Opera Browser Operator

Opera has announced the launch of Browser Operator, a pioneering AI agent that marks a significant shift in web browsing.

This innovative feature allows users to perform browsing tasks through natural language commands, transforming the browser from a mere display engine to an intelligent assistant capable of executing tasks on behalf of the user.

Browser Operator is designed to enhance user efficiency by allowing them to delegate tasks such as online shopping, booking tickets, and searching for information.

Users can instruct the browser in natural language, and the AI agent will carry out the tasks while keeping the user informed and in control throughout the process.

One of the Browser Operator’s key features is its ability to run natively within the browser. It utilizes the DOM Tree and browser layout data to understand and interact with web pages.

This approach ensures faster performance and better privacy protection, as it does not rely on cloud servers or virtual machines.

Opera’s Browser Operator is currently available as a feature preview and is expected to be rolled out to users soon as part of the Opera Feature Drop program.

In similar news, Opera recently unveiled a new browser, Opera Air, that aims to reduce anxiety and negative feelings when browsing the Internet.
