Outlook Mobile to Soon Get OneDrive Support for Signature Images

Microsoft has been improving New Outlook for a while now, which has led it to urge Classic Outlook users to make a switch. That’s not all; the company is even making it easier to switch between New and Classic Outlook. Now, it seems the company is working on yet another improvement that caters to the New Outlook users.

Outlook to Soon Allow Adding Signature Images Directly from OneDrive

A new Microsoft 365 Roadmap entry, first spotted by Neowin, suggests that Outlook will soon support inserting email signature images directly from OneDrive. Rather than relying only on your phone’s photo library, you’ll be able to browse your cloud storage and choose the image you want without downloading it first.

The feature appears under Roadmap ID 568079 and is currently marked In Development. Microsoft expects rollout to begin during August 2026, with general availability planned for Android and iOS devices.

For users who regularly switch between multiple devices, the update could remove one small but recurring annoyance. Instead of saving the same logo or signature image locally on every phone or tablet, keeping it in OneDrive should make accessing it much easier whenever you update your signature.

As of now, Microsoft hasn’t shared additional implementation details yet. It’s still unclear whether Outlook will open a dedicated OneDrive picker or integrate cloud browsing directly into the signature editor. Those details may become clearer once the rollout begins.

That being said, the feature is currently limited to mobile platforms. The roadmap only lists Android and iOS, with no mention of Outlook for Windows, macOS, or the web. Microsoft could expand support later, but nothing has been confirmed.

If Microsoft’s rollout schedule stays on track, Outlook users on Android and iPhone should begin seeing the new OneDrive signature option later this month.
