What is error code 504 on Pokemon Home?

In some rare but possible cases, altering the game files using tools that spoof your location to gain an advantage over other players in battle can also throw this error.

How do I fix error code 504 on Pokemon Home?

Begin with the following preliminary steps before any complex troubleshooting:

  • Make sure that you have the latest official version of Pokemon Home installed.
  • Try switching your connections by disconnecting from Wi-Fi and connecting to a cellular network (if available).
  • Try playing Pokemon Home on a browser or PC app via an emulator.

1. Update your device’s OS

  1. Locate Settings on your device. (We’ll be using the Samsung model for this step).
  2. Go to Software update.
  3. Tap on Download and install.
  4. Wait for the update to finish installing if available, and retry the game.

3. Reinstall the app

  1. Press and hold the Pokemon Home icon.
  2. Choose Uninstall.
  3. When the confirmation dialog appears, tap OK.
  4. Delete the PokemonHome folder from your computer and restart your computer.
  5. Go to your dedicated app store, search for Pokemon Home.
     
  6. Tap on Install next to Pokemon Home and wait for the app to install.
  7. Once installed, start it again and check if it works.

4. Reset your network

4.1 Windows

5. Contact support
