Pragmata Gets Better Image Quality & Resolution Upgrade on PS5 Pro With New Patch

Pragmata has been in the spotlight since its launch on April 17, 2026, across major gaming platforms, largely for its ambitious sci-fi setting and strong technical presentation. Early reviews praised its performance and atmosphere, though some players pointed out uneven visual scaling across console modes, especially on PS5 Pro.

Pragmata update boosts PS5 Pro visuals

Capcom has now rolled out Pragmata Update 1.21, and while it does not list major visual changes in the patch notes, it introduces a significant behind-the-scenes improvement. The update reportedly raises the internal resolution on PS5 Pro from 864p to 1080p in 60 FPS mode, bringing it in line with the standard PS5 version.

Before this update, the PS5 Pro build was already delivering stable performance, but it was running at a lower internal resolution. That approach leaned on Sony’s PSSR upscaling to maintain image quality, particularly in ray-traced reflections and lighting.

Following the update, early analysis suggests a noticeable improvement in clarity. As noted by Brazil Pixel and later examined by Digital Foundry, there is a visible upgrade in geometry and edge definition, especially in scenes with long straight lines and complex environments.

Digital Foundry highlights clearer image quality shift

Speaking of technical analysis, Digital Foundry’s testing of versions 1.20 and 1.21 shows a clear difference in image reconstruction quality. The updated version appears more stable in motion, with improved sharpness and reduced softness in certain reflective surfaces.

That being said, the most notable change remains the uplift in internal resolution, which also impacts ray-traced reflections that previously appeared lower in quality despite upscaling support. As of now, Capcom has not officially detailed these visual adjustments, leaving players to rely on community and technical breakdowns to understand the full scope of the update.
