Just in case you weren’t already aware of what is happening at Redmond, Microsoft has just announced some new features that are coming to the Edge browser.

Through these changes, the company wants to improve the Collection feature and allow users to store more content and collaborate with other people.

If you are ready to find out more about this topic, let’s dive in together and see what the tech giant has prepared for Edge users.

New upgrades coming to Collections in Microsoft Edge

If you are an Edge user you surely know that the current version of the browser allows the creation of Collections with various content.

Without beating around the bush, we’re talking entire web pages, pins from Pinterest, sticky notes, and many more.

Thus, Microsoft acknowledged the fact that users want to store more files in their Collections, so future updates will bring the ability to add images and videos using a simple right-click.

The Redmond-based tech giant will also let users work together in future updates, letting them share, collaborate, and brainstorm together using the feature.

Please note that people using Collections in Microsoft Edge should prepare for the influx of recommended content.

Now, you can save images and videos to your Collections as you browse the web, by simply hovering over or right-click the item on a webpage and click the add button to save it to a Collection.

Soon, you will also be able to share your collections with others so you can collaborate and brainstorm together, whether it be planning your next vacation or remodeling your home office.

Microsoft will soon start displaying an inspiration feed with content related to the things you store in a particular Collection.

That being said, for the time being, there is no information on whether the company will let users disable this recommended content.

It’s also important to note that this announcement comes shortly after Microsoft touted an Internet speed tester coming to Edge, and the ability to close tabs by double-clicking them.
