[UPDATE: Service Restored] Spotify is Down Right Now in Massive Outage

[UPDATE: 13 May 2026, 02:35 AM IST] Spotify has confirmed on X that the outage has now been resolved.

[ORIGINAL ARTICLE] Did you recently try accessing your playlist on Spotify and find out that the app isn’t working? Well, it’s not only you. Thousands of users are facing the same problem as Spotify is down right now.

Over on X, the official Spotify Status account confirmed the outage, noting, “We’re aware of some issues right now with the app and are checking them out!”

According to multiple reports on X, Spotify users are experiencing login issues, long loading times, and black screens. At one point, DownDetector, the outage tracking site, showed a huge spike, with over 15,000 Spotify users reporting multiple issues when trying to access the service.

At the time of writing this, the spike on Downdetector has settled a little. User reports have come down to under 1,000, hinting that issues with Spotify have largely been resolved.

While the service outage banner from Spotify’s support page has been removed, we still await an official update on X. Once Spotify drops an update, we’ll update this article.
