As all of us expected, there is still a lot going on with Valve’s new handheld gaming PC, and developers are scrambling to fix as much as they can, as fast as they can.

The Steam Deck has been released to the general public on February 25, 2022, and people that bought it had to wait a lot for their devices to be delivered.

If you got one as well, or you’re in the process of ordering one, you might want to know how to change Steam Deck’s resolution, or what are the best Steam Deck verified games.

Many users reported not being able to game properly, as they reported the Steam Deck being connected to Wi-Fi but had no internet.

If you are getting the Can’t reach Steam servers error, we are about to show you what you need to do in order to fix it.

Why can’t I connect to Steam servers?

Basically, every gamer knows that if there’s anything more frustrating than having no internet, that’s the internet cutting off while you’re immersed in a game.

Thousands of Steam users have shared their frustrations on Steam having trouble connecting to the Steam servers.

This could happen because the Steam servers are down, or there is a problem Valve is currently investigating. Although not impossible, these scenarios are less likely.

Your internet can also be the culprit for this error. However, we’re going to give you the guidance you need to resume playing your favorite titles.

How do I fix my Steam Deck if it can’t reach Steam servers?

1. Restart the Steam Deck

  1. Press and hold the Steam Deck’s power button.power steam deck
  2. Select Restart.restart steam deck

Can I use the Steam Deck without Wi-Fi?

You have to keep in mind that Valve is behind the design of this new state-of-the-art handheld gaming PC, so all rules that apply to Steam, apply to the Steam Deck.

Keep in mind that all games on Steam are responsible for themselves and SteamDeck can’t change this, no matter how much we want that.

That being said, if the game you have in mind always requires an internet connection as you play it on Steam on your PC, it will require the same thing on SteamDeck either.

Of course, you can use it without the Wi-Fi, but what you can do on the Steam Deck will be limited, so think about that as well.

Next time you or one of your close friends goes through the Steam not connecting to Steam servers problem, you can rely on this guide.

Even the PC version of Steam has such problems, so the fact that the Steam Deck also has the Can’t sign in issue shouldn’t come as a surprise.
