Steam Deck’s Game Library Keeps Growing, With Over 30,000 Titles Now Supported

Steam Deck compatibility has passed a major milestone, with more than 30,000 Steam games now rated as either Verified or Playable.

According to SteamDB, 21,078 games currently carry a Steam Deck Playable rating, while another 8,975 titles are Steam Deck Verified.

Valve continues testing games and updating compatibility ratings for both Steam Deck and SteamOS as developers release updates and new titles arrive on Steam.

Steam Deck Verified vs Playable

Steam Deck Verified games should work on Valve’s handheld without requiring users to make manual adjustments.

Playable games can also run on Steam Deck, but they may require some additional setup. This can include selecting a controller layout, manually interacting with a launcher, or making other small adjustments before playing.

The two categories combined now cover more than 30,000 games.

Thousands of games remain unsupported

Not every Steam game works with Valve’s handheld or SteamOS.

SteamDB currently lists 6,846 titles as Steam Deck Unsupported. Another 4,494 games carry a SteamOS Unsupported classification.

Valve continues updating these ratings, so compatibility can change as games, Proton, SteamOS, and drivers receive updates.

Popular Steam games still show mixed compatibility

ProtonDB lists 29,988 games as Verified or Playable based on its collected compatibility data.

Among Steam’s current Top 10 games by concurrent players, around 40% have a Verified or Playable rating. That percentage increases to 46% among the Steam Top 100 games.

The numbers show how far Steam Deck compatibility has progressed, although many popular games still lack full support.

Valve will likely continue expanding Steam Deck and SteamOS compatibility as it improves the platform and tests more games.

Valve has also been working on other Steam hardware. A Steam Frame unboxing video has been leaked, although its exact release date remains unknown.

Meanwhile, the Steam Deck LCD battery now costs more than twice its old price.
