Almost all Windows PCs have termsrv.dll available, but if you’re not familiar with it, in today’s guide we’re going to explain what this file does.
What is the Termsrv DLL service?
Termsrv.dll is a part of Terminal Services, more commonly known as Remote Desktop Services. It allows users to have multiple remote sessions using the Remote Desktop Protocol.
Where is the Termsrv DLL located in Windows 10?
You can usually find this DLL file at the following location: C:\Windows\System32
How do I allow multiple RDP sessions in Windows 10?
- Visit the TermsrvPatcher page.
- Click on Code and then Download ZIP.
- Once the file is downloaded, extract the TermsrvPatcher.ps1 in the same directory where it was downloaded. We’ll assume that’s the Downloads folder.
- Next, locate TermsrvPacther.ps1, right-click it and choose Run with PowerShell.

How to replace termsrv.dll on Windows 10?
This isn’t advised, since it might impact the stability of your device. If you decide to do so, it would be best to use one of several available projects that can do that for you.
