The mysterious demonic statue spotted in photos around The Game Awards has finally been identified. After days of speculation, a newly registered trademark revealed the true origin of the design, ending theories that linked it to God of War, Diablo 4, or even a new Elder Scrolls game.
Demonic Statue At Game Awards is Linked to Divinity Games
The trademark filing ties the statue directly to the Divinity franchise. The documents include a fresh logo and additional artwork, and one of the symbols matches the mark engraved on the statue. Fans also noticed the glowing eye featured in the updated Divinity emblem, which mirrors the same detail on the promotional figure.
Many assumed this discovery hinted at Divinity: Original Sin 3, but Larian Studios shut that down in a recent tweet:
With that theory dismissed, the statue likely teases a different project within the Divinity universe. The mystery may not last long, though, as The Game Awards draw near.
