Nintendo has officially revealed a new Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console, Pro Controller, and carrying case as part of The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

Nintendo’s Zelda-themed Switch 2 console and Pro Controller are finally official

The special-edition Switch 2 comes with a Zelda-inspired design across the console, Joy-Con 2 controllers, and dock. The Triforce is a major part of the design, with the dock and controllers using the series’ familiar black, green, and gold styling.

The Pro Controller follows the same theme, with a dark body, green accents, gold details, and Zelda artwork built around the Triforce. Nintendo is also releasing a matching carrying case, giving fans the option to complete the anniversary setup rather than stopping at the console.

There is an interesting detail for collectors, too. A special version of the Pro Controller will come with a display stand and will be available exclusively through Nintendo stores, according to reporting following the announcement.

Nintendo is celebrating 40 years of The Legend of Zelda this year, and the new hardware is linked to the franchise as a whole rather than being specifically branded around the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake.

Pricing and availability

Nintendo will officially launch all three anniversary products on October 29, 2026. The company has confirmed a price tag of ¥62,980 (~ $404) for the Zelda-themed Switch 2 console, ¥12,980 (~ $83) for the Pro Controller with display stand, and ¥3,980 (~ $26) for the carrying case.
