Thirteen years is a long time to wait for a sequel. Today, Telltale finally ended one of gaming’s longest silences. The Wolf Among Us 2 was showcased at Summer Game Fest 2026 with its first substantial gameplay trailer, giving fans the best look yet at Bigby Wolf’s long-awaited return.

Interestingly, the studio also attached a release window to the project after a development journey filled with delays, uncertainty, and more than a few questions. The Wolf Among Us 2 is now targeting a 2027 release on consoles and PC.

Bigby’s return is starting to feel real

The new trailer wastes little time reintroducing players to the dark and twisted version of Fabletown that made the original game such a standout back in 2013.

Several familiar faces appear throughout the footage alongside a lineup of new allies and enemies. While Telltale remains cautious about revealing major story details, the footage suggests Bigby will once again find himself caught between maintaining order and embracing his more dangerous instincts.

Visually, the game remains instantly recognizable. The comic book-inspired art style returns, though the environments appear significantly more detailed than before.

Telltale had one more surprise

The sequel wasn’t the only announcement. Alongside The Wolf Among Us 2, Telltale confirmed that the original game is getting a remaster. The updated version is scheduled to release during the 2026 holiday season, giving newcomers a chance to experience Bigby’s first adventure before the sequel arrives.
