Summer Game Fest 2026 brought a packed lineup of new game reveals, sequels, remakes, updates, DLC, and crossover announcements, with major names including Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Star Wars, TMNT, Alien Isolation, Guild Wars, Control, Virtua Fighter, Sonic, Street Fighter, and more.
Biggest reveals and must-see announcements
Resident Evil – Code: Veronica
Capcom revealed Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, a remake of the classic survival horror game. The trailer opened with a snowy Paris sequence before confirming the project as a new Resident Evil remake. It launches in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation
Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the final part of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. The trailer showed new locations, more combat, Vincent Valentine, and Cid Highwind. The game launches in Spring 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Stranger Than Heaven
Stranger Than Heaven was also shown as a third-person action-adventure starring Makoto Daito. The game takes place across five locations and five eras, mixing music events, showman work, and action. It launches January 15, 2027.
Lords of the Fallen II
Lords of the Fallen II appeared with fantasy action RPG gameplay, dragons, monsters, and large-scale battles. It launches in Autumn 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Guild Wars 3
ArenaNet announced Guild Wars 3, the long-awaited sequel to Guild Wars 2. The trailer showed a magical world and its creatures, with a beta planned for Autumn 2027 on PC and PS5.
Alien Isolation 2
Alien Isolation 2 was revealed with a stormy sci-fi horror trailer. The sequel is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Star Wars Zero Company
Star Wars Zero Company also appeared during the show. The turn-based tactics game lets players work for different groups across the galaxy, and Anakin Skywalker will appear. It launches August 27, 2026.
The Wolf Among Us 2
Telltale showed The Wolf Among Us 2, bringing players back to Bigby Wolf as he investigates new fairy-tale murders. The sequel launches in 2027 on PC.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is also coming to PC in Holiday 2026.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin brought a darker TMNT action game inspired by the graphic novel. Developed by Platinum Games, the game follows a lone surviving turtle seeking revenge for his lost family.
Stellar Blade Blood Rain
Stellar Blade Blood Rain was revealed as a sequel to Shift Up’s 2024 action game. The reveal trailer focused on combat and the new world, but the game remains in development, with more details coming later.
Gundam Rogue Orbit
Bandai Namco revealed Gundam Rogue Orbit, a new Gundam game focused on giant robots fighting monsters and other mechs. It launches in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
Gen Atlas
Gen Atlas, the next game from Fumito Ueda, also appeared. Ueda, known for Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian, is working on a journey across a mysterious silent planet filled with strange structures, abandoned buildings, and a robot companion.
New Cuphead Game
Studio MDHR confirmed that a new Cuphead game is in development. Details remain limited, but the game will keep the series’ hand-drawn style.
Mighty Cuphead Adventure
The studio also showed Mighty Cuphead Adventure, an 8-bit action platformer coming to consoles and PC.
Blood Message
Blood Message was announced as a single-player action-adventure set in ancient China. Players control a messenger traveling with his son on a dangerous mission where everything seems stacked against them.
Haex
Haex was shown as an open-world action-adventure game set in the Wild North. Its world is procedural, and the trailer included monster encounters, multiplayer elements, puzzles, and strange environments.
Dead by Daylight 10th anniversary event
Behaviour Interactive showed a creepy Dead by Daylight trailer for the game’s 10th anniversary event. The event begins June 14, 2026, at 8 PM ET.
Mortal Shell II
Mortal Shell II also appeared, and its open beta is now live on PC. The trailer showed medieval fantasy action, monsters, and weaponized lute combat.
Sand Raiders of Sophie
Sand Raiders of Sophie was shown as a steampunk desert survival and action game where players create a house-car to travel across the desert and fight enemies. It launches June 10, 2026, on PC, with a server slam already open.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced brought back pirate assassin action in a remake or remaster-style return to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It launches July 9, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners introduced Spites, glowing creatures that give players different power-ups. The trailer also showed John Wick’s return and teased the Shattered end-of-season event.
An Eggstreamely Hard Game
An Eggstreamely Hard Game was revealed as a challenging obstacle-avoidance game where players must keep an egg safe. It launches July 24, 2026, on PC.
Crossfire
Crossfire appeared as a third-person tactical action-adventure with stealth, action, and a strong narrative focus. The story follows two rival operators forced to work together and includes an Adaptive Cover system that reacts to terrain and enemies.
Control Resonant
Control Resonant was revealed as a sequel or follow-up to Control starring Dylan Faden, Jesse Faden’s brother. The story returns to the FBC after something supernatural escapes into Manhattan. It launches September 24, 2026.
Star Wars Galactic Racer
Star Wars Galactic Racer brought podracing-style action back to the Star Wars universe. It launches October 6, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
End of Abyss
End of Abyss was shown as a deep-sea horror and adventure game where players explore dangerous waters filled with threats. It launches October 1, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Last Harbor
Last Harbor was revealed as an open-world multiplayer zombie survival game with both land and sea-based danger. The trailer showed enemies hunting players across harsh environments.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads
Sega announced Virtua Fighter Crossroads, the sixth mainline Virtua Fighter game and the first major new entry in nearly 20 years. It launches in 2027 for consoles and PC.
RuneScape Dragonwilds
RuneScape Dragonwilds is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on September 15, 2026. Jagex’s survival crafting game lets players explore Ashenfall, level skills, fight dragons, and play with friends.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales was announced as a new action RPG from Square Enix and Claytechworks. It launches June 18 on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Orbitals
Orbitals was shown as a co-op space adventure where players work together to move through levels. It arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2026.
Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions
Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions is a co-op space exploration game where players complete planet-wide missions before moving to new locations. It launches June 11, 2026, on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2.
Soulframe Preludes
Soulframe Preludes is a free-to-play MMORPG mixing dark fantasy and sci-fi. Preludes is its pre-alpha version, and players can join now.
Grounded 2: Into The Abyss
Grounded 2: Into The Abyss adds new creatures, including a hostile lizard. It launches August 11, 2026, the same day Grounded 2 comes to PS5.
Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor
Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor was revealed as a story expansion for Mafia: The Old Country. The teaser did not reveal much, but it launches August 14, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
1666 Amsterdam
1666 Amsterdam, a new game from the creator of Assassin’s Creed, combines witchcraft, time travel, and two protagonists. One is Noa, who uses witchcraft, and the other is Aaron, who is a cat.
SAW: Genesis
SAW: Genesis was announced as a 3v1 horror game set a century before Jigsaw. Players either try to escape deadly traps or control the side placing them. Closed alpha sign-ups are available on PC.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
The Blood of Dawnwalker was shown as a gothic open-world action RPG set in 14th-century Europe. Players control a vampire who can walk in daylight. It launches September 3, 2026.
Among Us Story On Guard
Among Us Story On Guard is a standalone narrative adventure set in the Among Us universe. Players play as a ship security guard trying to prove their innocence and catch the Imposter.
007 First Light – New Mission
IO Interactive showed 007 First Light – New Mission, a new mission called Bawma Will Return. It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Switch 2 when that version arrives.
Final Fantasy XIV Online
Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV Online is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in early access during August 2026.
Turok: Origins
Turok: Origins launches in Autumn 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
Armatus
Armatus, a third-person roguelite shooter, launches in Winter 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
Aion 2
Aion 2 was shown as a fantasy MMO and action RPG with large monsters and flashy combat. It launches in September 2026 on PC.
Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Wuthering Waves is getting a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover event. The crossover arrives June 8, 2026.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance was revealed as a major DLC expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds. It sends players into the skies to fight new monsters, including some that affect the environment.
Swords of Legends
Swords of Legends was shown as a fantasy action-adventure RPG with combat-focused gameplay. It is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush brings racing tracks set across cities and beaches. It launches September 24, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds
Sega also revealed Sonic Racing CrossWorlds updates as part of Sonic’s 35th anniversary plans. The updates include TMNT Mutant Mayhem and Avatar Legends collaborations, plus future Godzilla and Evangelion content.
Sonic Pico Park
Sonic Pico Park was announced as a new indie Sonic game. Details are still limited, but it is coming soon.
Attack on Titan 3
Attack on Titan 3 was revealed as a new game covering the manga’s full story. Players will be able to fight Titans directly when it launches July 1, 2026.
Clutch
Clutch was shown as a street-racing game with a strong story focus. It is aimed at players who enjoy open racing games like Forza Horizon 6 and launches in Spring 2027.
Chronicles Medieval
Chronicles Medieval is a medieval sandbox game where players build their own army and rely on formations, timing, and tactical skill to win battles. It enters early access in 2026.
Sea of Remnants
Sea of Remnants was announced as a free-to-play RPG with turn-based combat and a sea-based theme. Pre-registration is open, and the game is coming to PC, PS5, Android, and iOS.
Hitman World of Assassination
Hitman World of Assassination is getting a boxing-themed elusive target. The new target is available from June 5 to July 5, 2026.
Palworld 1.0
Pocketpair showed a small look at Palworld 1.0, including new Pals. The full release launches July 10, 2026, on PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Mac, and PC.
Street Fighter 6 Year Four
Capcom closed out part of the lineup with Street Fighter 6 Year Four. The next wave of characters includes Yasmine, Bosch, Arjun, and Tifa from Final Fantasy VII.
Overall, Summer Game Fest 2026 leaned heavily on recognizable franchises, long-awaited sequels, horror revivals, anime crossovers, racing games, action RPGs, and live-service updates. With release windows stretching from June 2026 into 2027, the showcase gave players a packed look at what is coming across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, and mobile.
