WhatsApp app for Windows 10 download free

WhatsApp has over 1 billion monthly active users and it’s been a while since a good amount of them have been asking the developer to release a version of this application for desktop computers.

We remind you that the WhatsApp developers have released a WhatsApp Web feature that allows users to connect to their WhatsApp accounts via a browser. In order to connect to your WhatsApp account via the web browser on your computer, you will need to scan the QR code with your mobile device. To do this, just open the WhatsApp application on your mobile device, head to the WhatsApp Web feature and scan the QR code that’s displayed on your computer’s display when you access web.whatsapp.com.

Unfortunately, the WhatsApp Web is quite limited, as in order to stay connected on your WhatsApp account via the computer’s web browser, you will need to keep the smartphone connected to the internet and the WhatsApp application open. Once you sign out from the application or disconnect the smartphone from the internet, you will be automatically disconnected from the WhatsApp account from your computer. With other words, this feature is using the smartphone as a “gateway” for messages that you send and receive on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp application has been released for Windows 8 and Windows 10

Well, a WhatsApp application has been released for Windows 8 and Windows 10. Unfortunately, don’t be too happy, because this application has the same limitation as the WhatsApp Web feature. With other words, the developers have now made the WhatsApp Web feature available on a separate “application” so that users will no longer need to rely on a browser. So, instead of having to access web.whatsapp.com on the browser on your computer, you will just open the WhatsApp application on your computer and use the smartphone to scan the QR code.
