Windows Autopatch has some new features for your organization’s needs. One of the new features allows you to use the update rings with Autopatch. Additionally, organizations can import their Intune Update rings for Windows 10 or later versions directly into the Windows Autopatch management.

How to import update rings with Windows Autopatch?

  1. Open the Microsoft Intune admin center.
  2. From the Navigation Menu select Devices.
  3. Go to the Release Schedule Tab and click on Windows quality updates.
  4. Click on the Import Update Rings for Windows 10 and later option.
  5. Chose your rings and click Import.

Furthermore, Windows Autopatch will check if all of your devices are ready for updates. Also, you will get reports for each computer. Thus, with it, you won’t have to rebuild your system or update and verify each device.

Moreover, by using Autopatch, you can also test some updates with a specific group of people. In addition, you will be able to create up to 15 unique deployment rings and distribute them according to your needs.

Moreover, Windows Autopatch won’t require 95% of your devices to be compatible with the updates anymore. Also, by using the unique deployment rings, you will be able to track each one of the groups and set different goals for them. Thus, you will have far better control over your devices. The last tweak made by Microsoft to empower Windows Autopatch was to change the refresh cycle from 24 hours to 30 minutes. So, you and the IT admins will get detailed information on the patch compliance status. Also, the update will allow Autopatch to support multiple data streams. Thus, you will be able to identify problems quickly and fix them in real-time.
