The new Xbox CEO, Asha Sharma, has been on a spree with Game Pass-related changes. Yesterday, the company announced price cuts for Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. The confirmation came a couple of days after reports came in about Sharma being unhappy with Game Pass price hikes.

Well, yesterday’s price cuts came alongside the official news of future Call of Duty games skipping day one Game Pass launch. That’s not all; following that announcement Jez Corden from Windows Central also hinted that Game Pass could introduce “pick your plan” subscription model. While we wait and watch whether that claim turns out to be true, we have yet another Game Pass-related announcement, courtesy of the new Xbox CEO.

Over on X, Asha Sharma just teased a new phase of its partnership with Discord. According to Sharma, both Xbox and Discord are “teaming up again” to make Game Pass more flexible for players. She also hinted that early code related to the feature may already be appearing “in the wild,” although Microsoft has not confirmed what form the integration will take.

A full breakdown is expected soon, but for now, the company is keeping specifics under wraps.

To catch you up, Xbox and Discord already share a long-standing connection. Discord voice chat first arrived on Xbox in 2022, and since then, the integration has gradually expanded to improve cross-device communication and social features.

All that said, nothing is confirmed yet, and Microsoft’s wording leaves room for interpretation. However, the mention of hidden code suggests that initial testing of whatever the two companies are cooking will soon be underway.
