Xbox Disc-to-Digital is now available to everyone after a short testing period with Xbox Insiders, and the number of supported games is already growing quickly.

The feature lets players convert supported physical Xbox One and Xbox Series X games into digital licenses. This allows players to access supported games without inserting the original disc every time they want to play.

More than 1,500 Xbox games now support Disc-to-Digital

Community tracking suggests that more than 1,500 games already work with Xbox Disc-to-Digital, making the compatibility list considerably larger than it was during the testing period.

According to community-maintained data, 1,568 games currently support the feature.

The number has grown partly because major publishers have started adding more games. SEGA recently added its titles to the compatibility list, while Ubisoft added support earlier this month.

This gives players with large physical libraries more opportunities to move their supported games into their digital Xbox libraries.

However, Microsoft still hasn’t released an official master list showing every compatible game.

As a result, Xbox players have started tracking compatible Disc-to-Digital games themselves, with community databases becoming the easiest way to determine whether a particular disc works.

Some major publishers and older games remain unsupported

Despite crossing the 1,500-game mark, Disc-to-Digital still has several notable limitations.

Square Enix and Bandai Namco remain among the biggest publishers without support. This means many popular games from both companies cannot currently use the conversion system.

Compatibility also becomes less consistent with older Xbox One releases. Many physical games released during the early Xbox One era, particularly between 2013 and mid-2014, reportedly don’t work with Disc-to-Digital.

Xbox 360 games also remain outside the program. Microsoft confirmed when it announced Disc-to-Digital that the feature focuses on supported Xbox One and Xbox Series X titles.

Still, with more than 1,500 games reportedly compatible and publishers such as Sega and Ubisoft joining the program, the available library continues to expand.

Microsoft hasn’t said whether additional publishers will join or whether Xbox 360 support could arrive later.
