Xbox Free Play Days Brings Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta & Two More Games This Weekend

Xbox is bringing a serious multiplayer test to Free Play Days this weekend. Gears of War: E-Day is joined by two smaller adventures. The Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta starts August 13 at 12 PM PT and runs through August 17 at 10 AM PT. It is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Gears of War: E-Day steals the spotlight of this weekend’s Free Play Days

The Gears of War: E-Day beta gives players a chance to test the game’s multiplayer before its October 6 launch. Players can jump into Horde Siege, a 12-player PvE mode built around larger maps and bigger battles. The beta also includes 4v4 Versus PvP for players wanting something more competitive.

There are also challenges to complete, with exclusive beta rewards available for participants. The feedback gathered during the event should help The Coalition polish the game before launch. Xbox Game Pass members with the required online multiplayer access can participate on console. PC players can also join the beta through the available Xbox platform. Not to forget, The Coalition has fixed a bunch of issues reported by players right before the Open Beta.

Two more games join the weekend lineup

Sunderfolk is another option for Game Pass members from August 13 through August 16. The tactical co-op RPG supports shared play, with phones functioning as controllers and player sheets. The game also comes with content from its Patch 2.0 update. That includes the Vanguard hero and two new scenarios, Sacred Sand and Arena Rumble.

Meanwhile, Asdivine Cross brings a more traditional RPG experience to the lineup. Players get turn-based combat, companion relationships, weapon upgrades, subquests, and more than 200 enemy skills. The game is available on Xbox consoles and PC, with Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere support.
