Four games will leave XBOX Game Pass on August 15, 2026, affecting subscribers across console, PC, and cloud, as reported by PureXbox. The titles already appear in the Leaving Soon section of the XBOX mobile app.

The announcement follows recent confirmation that several XBOX games will shut down their servers in August 2026.

Games leaving XBOX Game Pass on August 15

The upcoming departures include:

  • Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand for console, PC, and cloud
  • MENACE for PC
  • Aliens: Fireteam Elite for console, PC, and cloud
  • Firewatch for console, PC, and cloud

Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand is one of the most notable games leaving the subscription service. The action RPG received a major overhaul through its Reign of Sand update, which added new enemies, areas, and gameplay improvements.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite will also leave shortly before its sequel arrives on XBOX later in August. Firewatch, the narrative adventure game from Campo Santo, will disappear from all supported Game Pass platforms.

Subscribers can purchase the games at a discount

XBOX Game Pass members can receive discounts of at least 20% when purchasing games included with their subscription. These discounts should remain available until the four titles leave the service on August 15.

Purchasing a game allows subscribers to continue playing after its Game Pass removal. However, players should check whether downloadable content or special editions require separate purchases.

Microsoft will likely announce additional Game Pass arrivals and departures later in August.

The month already has a busy release schedule, with 20 new games coming to XBOX between August 3 and August 7. Meanwhile, six games have been confirmed for the August 2026 XBOX Game Pass lineup.
