Highlights from the lineup
The Wave 2 selection includes several notable titles that could drive strong engagement.
Forza Horizon 6 stands out as one of the biggest releases in the racing genre, continuing one of Xbox’s flagship franchises. Meanwhile, Subnautica 2 is expected to attract survival game fans, building on the success of the original title.
Other entries like Mixtape and Echo Generation 2 add variety, bringing narrative-driven and indie experiences into the mix.
More games and changes expected
Microsoft noted that the lineup remains subject to change, with additional announcements likely throughout May. This rolling approach has become standard for Game Pass, allowing the company to introduce new titles mid-month.
At the same time, nine games are scheduled to leave the service by the end of May, although Microsoft has not yet detailed the full list.
The May Wave 2 lineup reinforces Microsoft’s strategy of blending major releases with smaller titles across genres. With support across console, PC, and cloud, the service continues to expand its reach and flexibility.
Subscribers can expect further updates in the coming weeks as Microsoft finalizes the full May 2026 Game Pass catalog.
