Here’s why 32GB Windows 10 PCs are a “recipe for failure”
“Don’t buy a Windows 10 PC with 32gb of storage!” – This is the title of a recent Reddit thread that seems to get users really agitated. They are asking themselves what is the reason why laptops are sold with 32GB of storage space because these are reportedly “flawed.”
“The storage may be, emmc. Why they sell these I have no idea; the design is flawed in my opinion. Couple tight space with the frequency of large cumulative updates and we are staring at a recipe for failure,” one Redditor said, opening the Pandora’s box.
Systems with 32GB are useless for Windows 10
One user says that if you’re looking to buy a eMMC memory laptops, there are lots of 32GB options out there, but they turn out useless for running Windows 10. Lots of users are complaining that their PCs fail to update and this is because many Windows 10 versions will take up a significant amount of space yet systems still try to update, failing each and every time.
In other words, you won’t even be able to block the updates because you’re running a Home version and you won’t be able to update the system either because it lacks space. Buying a cheap laptop with such little space just for the sake of it is simply not worth it.
Avoid buying cheap systems
The Reddit discussion goes on, and a Redditor thinks that users should definitely avoid cheap options because of the reasons mentioned above. If you’re running Windows 10, you will not be able to update your computer, and this means that you won’t get the latest security patches and more.
It’s also important to note that there’s a massive difference between getting a good solution for a great price and just purchasing the cheapest option that you can find.
