One of the best Call of Duty games is joining the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list today. That’s right, you can now play the critically-acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on your Xbox One, and you can also save up to 25% off the Xbox 360 game during the Xbox Spring Sale.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare launched back in November 2007 on the Xbox 360, and it was the first Call of Duty game set in modern times. In addition to a great solo campaign, the game also introduced experience points for multiplayer, which gamers could use to unlock new weapons and more. This had a big influence on the FPS genre, with Microsoft introducing a similar progression system in Halo: Reach and then Halo 4 a couple of years later.

Activision released a remastered version of the game on Xbox One back in November 2016, but it’s really cool that the original Xbox 360 version can live on on Xbox One consoles. Overall, there are now eight Call of Duty games on the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list, but Modern Warfare definitely remains one of the best titles in the series.
