YouTube is constantly adding and testing new features to improve its service, and recently the company started testing something that nobody expected.
So what is this new feature? For the first time, you can finally play games directly on YouTube.
Playables are finally available on YouTube, here’s what you should know
According to the YouTube support page, the company is testing games, known as Playables, on both desktop and mobile devices.
The feature was tested by a limited group of users, and now it’s available for testing to more users in the US, Great Britain, Canada, and Australia.
You can find Playables in the Explore menu or you might see the games in the Home feed or search results.
It’s worth mentioning that you can view and control the Playable’s history and progress through the YouTube History section.
Regarding the available games, the YouTube blog states that there are more than 75 games to choose from, including classics such as Angry Birds Showdown, Cut the Rope, Trivia Crack and more. You can even share games with your friends using the three-dot menu.
If you ever get tired of watching videos and you want to relax, be sure to give these games a try, if you’re in a region that has them available.
This isn’t the only change, as YouTube might display suggestions horizontally on the desktop in the future. Another feature that is in testing is the ability to reply to Super Chats, which will surely help streamers on the platform.
