copilot image generation

Microsoft will enhance its AI model, Copilot, to support image generation directly in the chat with natural language. According to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, users only need to describe their idea or concept using any natural language to prompt Copilot to generate an image.

The enhancement will be released in September 2024 for Microsoft Teams, all Surface devices, and the web version of Microsoft Copilot. Suppose users must explicitly ask Copilot to generate visual creations with this enhancement. In that case, Copilot might develop its visual creations without asking the user for an explicit request.

Here’s what the entry says:

Create images using natural language to visualize concepts and ideas within the flow of work in Copilot for Microsoft 365.

The enhancement is a welcomed addition, considering Microsoft will also update Copilot to suggest prompts so that users know what to say to it if they want to use it.

Similar to the image generation enhancement, this one will come to Copilot in September.
