[UPDATED] Reporter Clarifies New GTA 6 Delay Comments, November 2026 Isn’t Ruled Out
[UPDATE | 7:45 AM GMT +1 ] Since the original post was published on Bluesky, the Polymarket prediction for GTA 6 delay has risen.
[ORIGINAL STORY] GTA 6 (short for Grand Theft Auto 6) remains one of the most anticipated game releases of 2026. The game is now scheduled for a November 19 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Do note that the game has already been delayed twice.
However, new details coming from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier provide a glimpse into the current development status. Schreier also clarified rumors about another potential delay via a post on Bluesky earlier today (via GameSpot). He noted that GTA 6 is still not content complete, meaning Rockstar is actively finalizing levels, missions, and mulling over features that will make it into the final version of the game.
He stresses that no one at Rockstar can claim with complete certainty that the game will meet the November release, but he also wouldn’t be shocked if it does. According to him, some early reports misrepresented his comments, which led to unnecessary panic among fans.
From a money point of view, the delays have already cost Rockstar around $60 million, which highlights the high stakes of this AAA production. Analysts are also speculating that GTA 6 could carry a $100 standard edition price, potentially influencing the pricing trends of other big publishers.
As of now, Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed the game’s final price. Despite all the rumors, Rockstar remains committed to delivering the next chapter in the GTA franchise across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
As far as new details are concerned, we are hoping to hear a bit more in the months leading up to the scheduled launch. For now, GTA 6 is still on the radar for late 2026, but the final days of development will determine whether Rockstar can stick to its ambitious release window.
