Rockstar Could Kick Off GTA 6 Marketing Campaign in May 2026

GTA 6 has to be one of the biggest projects in the gaming industry that has seen multiple delays. The game was originally planned to be released in the Fall of 2025. However, Rockstar delayed GTA 6 to May 2026. While everyone hoped that this might be it, news from last month had many GTA fans frustrated.

Rockstar pushed GTA 6 release to November 19, 2026, saying that the game needs some final touch-up before it’s out for eagerly waiting fans. At this point, it’s hard to tell that this might be the final release date, given that the game has already seen multiple delays.

That said, a new rumor may have just hinted at Rockstar Games’ long-awaited marketing roadmap for Grand Theft Auto VI. While fans are still hoping for another trailer this year, a reliable insider suggests that Rockstar is planning something much bigger, just not anytime soon.

According to Infinity Gamer on X, a source with a solid track record on GTA VI leaks, Rockstar’s full marketing campaign is expected to officially begin on May 9, 2026. The insider claims that this date will mark the end of Rockstar’s silence, with regular reveals rolling out in the months that follow.

The leak suggests that GTA VI’s cover art could be revealed on May 30, followed by Trailer 3 on June 14. If the rumor turns out to be true, this would be the first new footage since Rockstar’s last official trailer, which broke viewing records but left fans with more questions than answers.

Gameplay reveals are reportedly planned for later in the year. The first gameplay showcase is scheduled to arrive on September 15, lasting approximately seven minutes. A second, longer gameplay presentation is scheduled to follow on October 13, lasting approximately nine minutes. All combined, these demos would offer the most in-depth look yet at Rockstar’s next open-world epic.
