Bandai Namco Announces Gundam Rogue Orbit, 2027 Release Window Confirmed

Bandai Namco just dropped a brand-new Gundam game, and it’s officially called the Gundam Rogue Orbit. Announced at the ongoing Summer Game Fest 2026, the game appears to revolve around giant mech battles, mysterious worlds, and some surprisingly unusual machine designs along for the ride.

The debut trailer didn’t waste time showing off the action. Massive mobile suits clashed across futuristic environments while several of the machines appeared to transform into animal-like forms, giving the project a visual identity that feels different from recent Gundam games.

Bandai Namco is keeping most details under the wraps for now, but the first trailer hints at a story centered around a search mission. Whether players are tracking down a missing person, mounting a rescue operation, or uncovering something much larger remains unclear.

That being said, longtime Gundam fans will likely spend plenty of time dissecting the trailer frame by frame. The franchise remains one of the company’s biggest properties ahead of Gundam’s approaching 50th anniversary celebrations in 2027.

As of now, Bandai Namco has only confirmed a 2027 release window and hasn’t announced supported platforms or shared extended gameplay footage.
