Microsoft has launched its latest Surface Pro for Business and Surface Laptop for Business models, following their announcement last month.

Both devices use Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 processors and ship with Windows 11 Pro. Microsoft has also included business-focused security, deployment, and device management features.

Snapdragon X2 Brings Faster AI Performance

Businesses can choose between the 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus and the 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite.

The Qualcomm Hexagon neural processing unit delivers up to 80 TOPS of AI performance. That represents a major increase from the 45 TOPS available on the previous generation of Snapdragon X-powered Surface devices.

The upgraded NPU allows supported Copilot+ PC features and other AI workloads to run locally on the device.

Surface Pro for Business Specifications

Microsoft officially calls the new model the 13-inch Surface Pro for Business, 12th Edition.

Customers can configure it with 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of LPDDR5x memory. Removable PCIe Gen 4 storage options reach up to 1TB.

The device includes a 13-inch anti-reflective PixelSense Flow display, while Microsoft also offers an OLED panel as an optional upgrade. The company claims up to 15.5 hours of local video playback.

Surface Laptop for Business Comes in Two Sizes

The eighth-generation Surface Laptop for Business comes in 13.8-inch and 15-inch configurations.

Both versions support up to 64GB of RAM and removable storage capacities of up to 2TB. Microsoft has also equipped the laptops with a larger haptic touchpad.

The 13.8-inch model delivers up to 20 hours of local video playback, according to Microsoft. The 15-inch version offers up to 19 hours.

Select configurations of the smaller model also include an integrated privacy screen designed to limit viewing from the sides.

Wi-Fi 7 and Copilot+ PC Support

Both business devices support Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC experiences.

Microsoft designed the new models for companies that need stronger management controls, enterprise security features, and hardware that organizations can service more easily.

Pricing Starts at $1,649.99

The Snapdragon X2-powered Surface Pro for Business starts at $1,649.99 in the United States.

The Surface Laptop for Business carries the same starting price of $1,649.99.

Microsoft recently also relaunched its 2025 Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models with entry-level configurations that include 8GB of RAM.
