If you have been looking to grab the PS5 Pro in the US, you might find it hard to find it, especially after Rockstar’s latest GTA 6: An Extended Look. According to Nintendeal on X, several major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Target, don’t have PS5 Pro stock available right now.

GTA 6 hype is already hitting PlayStation hardware

At this point, the PS5 Pro is also not available on the official PlayStation Direct store. Even if you might be able to spot it on the third-party retailer website, watch out for dramatically higher prices.

Some Amazon listings reportedly reach around $1,300. New PS5 Pro consoles on eBay have also appeared around $1,499. That sudden pricing jump comes just days after Rockstar released its massive GTA 6Extended Look.

The Extended Look ran for roughly 27 minutes and delivered substantial new gameplay footage. In fact, the studio has released a massive video file of 14.2GB in size. Rockstar showed off characters, locations, vehicles, activities, and plenty of environmental details.

The showcase also highlighted the technical goal behind GTA 6. For example, the extended look showcased some usage of NPCs dialogue, which suggests Rockstar is looking to create a realism experience.

PS5 Pro enhancements are confirmed, but 60 FPS isn’t

Rockstar has confirmed PS5 Pro enhancements for GTA 6. The studio has not yet detailed exactly what those improvements will deliver. That leaves an important question around performance. Multiple reports suggest GTA 6 is targeting 30 FPS on PS5, including the Pro.

For now, those who are playing inflated reseller prices are taking a gamble. Stock may return before GTA 6 launches, while Sony could also reveal more Pro-specific improvements.

With GTA 6 excitement surging again, how far would you go to secure a PS5 Pro before launch?
