GTA 6 Cover Unveiled by Game Informer With New Artwork, Exclusive Interviews and Screenshots Coming Sep. 29

GTA 6 is officially taking over the latest issue of Game Informer. The magazine has spoken with several lead designers at Rockstar Games for a 14-page GTA 6 cover story, bringing new details about Vice City, Leonida and how Rockstar built its fictional take on Florida.

GTA 6’s Florida world gets the spotlight

The new cover story focuses heavily on Leonida, Rockstar’s parody of Florida, and how the studio researched the real-world region to make the game feel more authentic. One of the newly discussed features is GTA 6’s advanced weather system, which is designed to recreate some of Florida’s less-than-sunny weather. Rockstar is also detailing the huge amount of wildlife players will encounter across Leonida, with animals roaming the game’s land, skies and waters.

The magazine’s cover features Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in new original artwork created by Rockstar. And then there are the screenshots. Game Informer says the issue includes 12 new exclusive GTA 6 screenshots, showing more of the game’s locations, characters and world. That gives fans another look at Rockstar’s upcoming open-world game beyond the footage and screenshots already released.

Game Informer’s GTA 6 issue is packed with more than Vice City

The GTA 6 cover story is the main attraction, but Game Informer Issue 382 also includes previews and features covering several other major games. The magazine has previews for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, Metroid Ravenous, State of Decay 3, Mega Man: Dual Override, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Final Fantasy VII Revelation.

The review section also includes Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Marvel’s Wolverine, Star Wars Zero Company, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.

For GTA 6 fans, though, the Rockstar cover story is clearly the main event. The digital edition releases on September 29, while physical copies will reach subscribers and stores in the coming weeks. Game Informer says the GTA 6 issue will only be available for a limited time.
