Microsoft has restored the Send Availability feature in Outlook for Android and iOS, allowing users to share their available meeting times directly in an email without switching to the Calendar.

The company announced the change through MC1493186 in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. The feature is available now, and users only need to update their Outlook mobile app to access it.

Outlook users can share meeting availability directly in emails

Send Availability lets users insert their available meeting times into an email reply, making it easier to schedule meetings without switching between Outlook’s email and calendar interfaces.

To use the feature, users can open Outlook on Android or iOS and compose an email reply. They can then tap the calendar icon in the email composer, select Send Availability, and choose the available meeting times to insert into the email.

Microsoft has also published detailed instructions and screenshots on its official support page.

Available on Android and iOS with accessibility support

The restored feature works on both Android and iOS. On iPhones, users can also access Send Availability through the on-screen keyboard and Apple’s VoiceOver accessibility feature.

Microsoft confirmed that administrators do not need to take any action to enable the functionality. Users can access it after updating to the latest version of Outlook for their devices.

Other Outlook updates

Microsoft continues to introduce improvements across its Outlook apps. The company recently announced that Outlook on the web is getting a conversational Copilot upgrade that will help users draft, edit, and format emails through natural language interactions.

Meanwhile, new Outlook is now generally available for GCC High and DoD, expanding access to Microsoft’s updated email client for government organizations.
