GTA 6 fans waiting for the PC version might not have to wait as long as expected. A new GamesBeat report claims Rockstar is targeting the first quarter of 2027. That would bring the highly anticipated PC release just months after the console launch.

GTA 6 could arrive on PC in early 2027

Per the report, four industry sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans say GTA 6 is expected to reach PC between January and March 2027. Apparently, all four sources requested anonymity to protect their business relationships. However, Rockstar Games has not officially announced a PC version or its release window.

The reported release window would be a major change from Rockstar’s previous PC releases. GTA 5 arrived on PC around 19 months after its original console launch in 2013. A Q1 2027 launch would mean a much shorter wait for GTA 6 players.

As you may know, GTA 6 is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar’s official website lists those two platforms, with no PC version announced so far.

For now, PC players should treat Q1 2027 as a reported release window rather than a confirmed release date. Rockstar has delayed GTA 6 twice before, and the company will reportedly prioritize meeting its quality standards before releasing it on PC. So, we want you to take these details with a grain of salt.
