Windows 11 Experimental Future Platforms Build 29683 Fixes Missing Symbols, but Internet and VMware Green Screen Issues Persist
Windows 11 Insider Experimental (Future Platforms) Build 29683.1000 out now
Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Experimental (Future Platforms) Build 29683.1000 with a small set of fixes. The update addresses missing symbols from the previous flight. However, Microsoft is still investigating internet connectivity problems and green-screen crashes affecting some Insider devices.
Windows 11 Build 29683.1000 fixes an issue from the previous flight
The latest Experimental (Future Platforms) build focuses on general improvements rather than introducing major new features. Microsoft says the update includes a small set of fixes intended to improve the overall experience for Insiders.
One specific fix addresses missing symbols in the previous flight. Microsoft says these symbols should now be available in Build 29683.1000. That said, the release notes do not mention any major interface changes, new features, or additional functionality. This is a relatively small update focused on addressing existing problems.
Internet connectivity and VMware issues remain under investigation
Unfortunately, the latest build does not resolve every problem reported by Windows Insiders. Microsoft is investigating reports that some users cannot access the internet after installing the previous flight.
The company is also aware of reports involving VMware devices experiencing green-screen crashes. Microsoft has not provided a workaround or confirmed a fix for either issue in these release notes.
If your PC is affected, these problems remain under investigation. Microsoft has not shared an estimated timeline for resolving them.
Other Windows 11 Insider builds bring more noticeable changes
Several other recent Insider build released today, have introduced more substantial changes across Windows 11. Beta Build 26220.9739 improves Gaming Task View in Xbox mode and adds independent zoom controls for Magnifier. Meanwhile, Experimental Build 26340.9750 introduces web sign-in support for Microsoft Entra hybrid-joined devices. It also improves Windows Hello in dim environments and refines File Explorer responsiveness. Another release, Experimental Build 28120.3272, brings cleaner Search results, a new Pointer Indicator accessibility feature, and improved Live Captions controls. Additionally, Beta Build 28020.3262 fixes an issue that caused some applications and games to crash.
