privacy search engine startpage

Google is a search engine that can be used to find a variety of information such as websites, pictures, maps or even just answers to questions that have been driving you mad for a long time.

If you thought Google was the best search engine, well, I’ve got some news for you. While it’s hard to believe, there is a search engine that has defeated all the other searching engines out there, including the almighty Google.

Not many of you have heard of Startpage.com. But you may want to use it after reading this article.

German organization Stiftung Warentest recently labeled Startpage.com to be the best search engine option out there — privacy and search result-wise.

What is Startpage.com?

Startpage.com is a search engine that you open in any web browser. It offers the same search engines services that Google, Yahoo, and Bing offer.

The major difference is that this search engine protects your privacy. Moreover, its search results are even better than those offered by the most popular search engines out there.

Startpage privacy protection mechanism only apply to the searches you conduct through their website. This is very important, because the other search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing make a record of all of your searches.

The information is then used to create a profile about you and your interests. Startpage does not do this.

That’s why so many people are switching to Startpage, DuckDuckGo and other privacy-focused search engines and browsers.
