How can I fix Bitwarden autofill not working in Firefox issue?

1. Uninstall other password managers

It is very important to ensure that you are not using multiple password managers in the Firefox browser.

So, if you are using multiple password managers, then uninstall all of them except Bitwarden, and make sure Bitwarden is the only password manager installed.

2. Update Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click on the 3-line menu icon on the top toolbar.

  1. Launch Firefox.
  2. Click on the 3-line menu icon.

4. Check if the extension shortcut is missing

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. In the address bar, enter the below address and press Enter: about:addons
  3. From the left pane, select Extension.
  4. Hit the cog wheel Settings icon next to the Manage Your Extensions heading.
  5. Select the Manage Extension Shortcuts option.
  6. Check if the Auto-fill the last used login for the current website is set or not.

5. Check if the extension is enabled or not

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click on the 3-line menu icon.
  3. Select Add-ons and themes.
  4. Check if Bitwarden is enabled or not. If not, then enable it.

6. Manually trigger autofill function

  1. Head to the website where you want to use the Bitwarden autofill function.
  2. Right-click on the username and password field.
  3. Select Bitwarden, then Autofill.
  4. Hit the Login button and check if this fixes the issue.
