Toolbars are a common part of many applications, but it seems that modern browsers are slowly but surely removing them in order to streamline the user interface.

Even though developers are removing toolbars, there’s still a way to use a toolbar in your web browser, and today we’re going to show you how to manage toolbars in your browser.

How do I manage my browser’s toolbar?

1. Opera

Opera doesn’t have a standard toolbar, and the only toolbars that it has are the bookmarks toolbar and extensions toolbar.

To reveal bookmarks toolbar, do the following:

  1. Open the Opera menu.
  2. Go to Bookmarks and select Show bookmarks.

Managing the extensions toolbar is simple, and you can drag and rearrange extensions easily. You can also hide certain extensions from the toolbar by doing the following:

  1. Open the Opera menu.
  2. Go to Extensions > Extensions.

  3. Locate the extension that you want to hide from the toolbar and click on Details.

  4. Now enable Hide from toolbar option.

2. Firefox

  1. Press the Alt key.
  2. Select View and select Toolbars.
  3. From there you can choose which toolbars you want to keep visible.

To customize the toolbar, do the following:

  1. Click the Menu button in the top right corner.
  2. Now select Customize.

  3. Drag and drop the icons that you want to use onto your toolbar.

3. Edge

  1. Click the Menu button in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Show in toolbar.
  3. Next, select the icons that you want to have in your toolbar.

4. Chrome

  1. Click the Menu icon in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Bookmarks and select Show Bookmarks Bar.

Manage your extensions by doing the following:

  1. Right-click the extension you want to hide.
  2. Select Hide in Chrome Menu.
  3. To reveal an extension, open the Chrome Menu, right-click the extension and choose Show in toolbar.
