CD Projekt Red Shuts Down Hopes for Additional Cyberpunk 2077 DLCs or Expansions

Cyberpunk 2077 landed on Xbox Game Pass last week, following a tease by Microsoft over on X. However, if you have been looking for further expansions for Cyberpunk 2077, the studio behind the game confirmed something that wouldn’t please you.

Cyberpunk 2077 won’t get any extra DLCs or expansions, CD Projekt Red Confirms

When a fan asked about future DLC plans for Cyberpunk 2077, the official account for the studio said there are currently no plans to add more downloadable content or expansions to the game. That response may disappoint some players who hoped Night City would receive additional story content following the success of the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion.

“We have no plans for additional DLCs or expansions. If anything changes, we will inform you all!” the account said in a brief statement on X.

The comment is in line with CD Projekt Red’s previous stance about post-launch content. The studio is reportedly prioritizing new projects rather than focusing on Cyberpunk 2077 DLCs.

That being said, the Cyberpunk universe is far from finished. As previously reported, the developer is already working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, though details remain limited and the project is still believed to be years away from release. Late last year, the game director also revealed what fans can expect from the opening hours of the sequel.

With no further DLC planned, Night City’s current storyline appears complete, at least until the sequel eventually arrives.
