Google launched a brand new Chrome extension that helps users to report malicious sites.
Google named this extension as the Suspicious Site Reporter. After you install the extension, you’ll see an icon in the toolbar.
You can use this icon to report the site you are currently visiting. You also need to provide some details as to why you think that the website is malicious.
You’ll also get alerts about suspicious websites
Furthermore, once you have installed the extension, you will see a flag icon beside their address bar.
This icon will inform users about potentially dodgy websites. You may want to learn more about the criteria that the extension uses to detect suspicious sites.
Google uses some specific metrics to flag a site. It flags any particular domain if it is not popular, received no visitors during the past three months, or uses some mysterious characters.
Chrome users need to provide complete details regarding the suspicious site in order to submit a report.
You should have details such as an IP address, URL, screenshots, and so on. Additionally, the system will ask you about the steps you have taken to reach the dodgy website.
