If you’re using crypto, you might be familiar with a service called Coinbase. The service is available as a browser extension, but many are wondering if is there a Coinbase Wallet extension for Firefox.
How can I get a Coinbase Wallet extension for Firefox?
What browser does Coinbase Wallet use?
According to the Coinbase Help page, the service is available currently to Chrome and Brave browser in the form of an extension.
The company hopes that they will be able to bring Safari and Firefox support in the feature.
Is there a desktop version of Coinbase Wallet?
While there is no desktop version of the app, you can use it on your desktop as an extension from Chrome and other Chromium browsers.
Is the Coinbase Wallet extension safe?
Coinbase as a service is generally considered safe since it uses 2FA, biometric authentication and Secure Enclave technology.
In the end, the security of the service depends solely on you, the end user. As long as you keep your account safe and don’t fall victim to phishing attacks, you’re as safe as you can be.
Due to the popularity of the service, it’s not uncommon for hackers to try and get your login information, and we wrote about that in our Coinbase verification text scam article.
Unfortunately, there’s no Coinbase Wallet extension available for Firefox, and we don’t have any information about its availability, but we hope that developers will bring it to other non-Chromium browsers soon.
The service does have a share of its problems, and we wrote about how Coinbase Wallet is not updating balance in our previous guides, so don’t miss it.
If you would like a reliable alternative, the Phantom Wallet extension for Firefox is available, so go ahead and give it a try.
