copilot in onedrive web

Microsoft 365 subscribers can now access Copilot features in OneDrive on the web. Copilot can perform tasks like summarizing documents, comparing multiple files, and answering specific questions about file content.

These features are available for text-based files, such as Office documents, PDFs, and more, with a file size limit of 150MB. Previously available only to work and school accounts, these features are now accessible to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers.

In the updated support page, Microsoft says it has plans to expand support to include images, videos, and other file types.

Copilot in OneDrive is only available through the OneDrive website. It’s available to users with a work or school account, and is now rolling out over the coming months to Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscribers.

The AI tool was added to OneDrive in 2023, but only on the desktop app; Copilot wasn’t available to the online version of the app for Microsoft 365 subscribers. However, earlier this year, the Redmond-based tech giant added it to the Microsoft 365 plan, and changes to prices of the subscriptions to fit Copilot. Ever since, the company has been adding Copilot anywhere.

Will you use it?
