At the Microsoft Surface Event, back in September, the Redmond-based tech giant revealed that Copilot will be coming to Microsoft 365. However, Microsoft didn’t specify an exact release date for each Microsoft 365 app.

But, according to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, it seems that Copilot will be coming to Microsoft Teams in November. This means that while Copilot is going to be released to 365 apps in November, each 365 app might actually get the AI tool at a different date over the month.

This would make sense, as each 365 app will integrate Copilot in a different way. There has to be an accommodation period for those customers who use all the Microsoft 365 apps within their work.

According to Microsoft, Microsoft 365 customers will be able to use the AI tool to organize their files, work projects, meetings, calls and even ask for useful insights, such as meeting summaries, or suggested tasks.

Copilot in Microsoft Teams helps users stay organized and on top of all their information in chat, meetings, and calls, with the ability to ask Copilot any question and discover insights. Use one of the suggested prompts or enter a free text question of your own.

Copilot in Microsoft Teams: what can you do with it

For starters, Copilot will come as a free-to-use AI tool inside Microsoft 365. While for each 365 apps, Copilot will come differently, for Teams, this AI assistant will do everything from organizing files to simply having a chat with you on different topics when you want to relax.copilot microsoft teams

Microsoft Teams already has some AI capabilities that are quite useful. For example, earlier this year, Microsoft introduced Intelligent Recap to Teams, an AI feature that summarizes Teams meetings, and it comes with suggestions and recommended tasks for each member involved.

Copilot, however, might integrate capabilities from other apps, such as coming up with reply suggestions on Teams chats, or even preparing entire emails for customers.
