Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Expansion Announced at The Game Awards 2025
The Game Awards 2025 brought several major reveals, and Blizzard confirmed a new Diablo 4 expansion titled Lord of Hatred. It launches on April 28, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC, and it delivers some of the biggest changes the game has seen so far.
Diablo 4 Lord Of Hatred Brings Back Paladin Class And More
The fan-favorite Paladin class returns with familiar holy abilities and a new angelic transformation skill. Blizzard also teased another incoming class, but no details are available yet. The expansion adds Skovos, a new region packed with storms, volcanoes, and ancient ruins. The story continues the hunt for Mephisto and brings Lilith back into the spotlight.
Classic fans will notice the comeback of the Horadric Cube from Diablo 2, allowing item combination once again. All eight classes get redesigned skill trees, and players gain access to a new loot filter designed to make targeted gear hunting easier.
Endgame players receive even more control. A new “war plan” feature lets you choose activities and modifiers before diving into endgame runs, creating a more tailored experience. Blizzard also revealed Echoing Hatred, a new horde-style mode, along with additional late-game challenges and progression improvements.
