- The Disney Plus app is making its way to the Microsoft Store and Windows 11 soon.
- Its icon is already visible on Windows 11.
- Disney joins the list of third-party apps to be available on the Microsoft Store.
It seems more apps are taking up the offer and joining the Microsoft store. As you may be aware, Microsoft made a move to host third-party apps on their platform to give users more variety, and Amazon and Epic are among those already on board.
Disney Plus has joined the bandwagon, and subscribers now have something to look forward to. Previously, users could access the streaming service on Windows 10 using a browser, but in Windows 11, it will have a dedicated app. Until then, you can subscribe to Disney+ on their official website.
Although users could previously stream Disney content on the website, the quality was usually capped at 720p. Now, 720p is good quality but for users who wish to access better quality such as 1080p and 4K, streaming via browser downgrades such high quality.
With the Disney Plus app available as a dedicated app on the Microsoft Store, users can be assured of top-notch quality and convenience without the need to launch a web browser anytime they wish to access the app.
The application will be available as soon as Windows 11 drops. You can check to see whether your device meets the requirements to upgrade to the new OS.
In the coming months, users should expect more applications to join the Microsoft store, so if you are still undecided on whether to upgrade to Windows 11, Disney Plus is just a taste of what is yet to come.
