If you frequently use the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, then you are more or less familiar with the process of migration.

In simple terms, it is the process of migrating multiple customers’ emails, calendars, and contacts from user mailboxes to Office 365.

Outlook Assistant is a neat tool that works in conjunction with Migration Sync to finalize the migration.

How do I download and install the Outlook Assistant?

First of all, you must know that you will need to register an account at the Outlook Assistant’s official website.

The user receives an email with their unique Password Reception URL.

This is to ensure that the Password Reception Page and the Outlook Assistant can correctly identify the user.

Note: Do not share a download of the Outlook Assistant between different users.

When you click the link in the email, it will open the Password Reception Page.

This will provide any necessary information and credentials to the Migration Application.

At the end of the Password Reception process, the Outlook Assistant download begins automatically.

Please remember that you need to have the outlook assistant installed at least 72 hours prior to beginning migration.

However, some users have complained that they are having issues downloading and installing the Outlook Assistant.

Can anyone advice me why Avast keeps blocking a download of the Skykick Outlook Assistant (SKOA) from Comcast Business? I need it in order to migrate my e-mail from old version of Outlook into Office 365. Even when I turn off my Avast VPN and Firewall, it keeps moving the file that I need to download into Virus Chest.

What can I do if I cannot download the Outlook Assistant?

Check out your antivirus settings

The case mentioned in particular seems to be like a simple case of an antivirus detecting a false positive.

In the case of Avast, all you need to do to report a false positive is to go to the designated website and upload the file.

Additionally, if you can download the app, but cannot install it due to a virus threat detection, whitelist the file.

The process of whitelisting a file varies from one antivirus client to another.

For a more in-depth guide, please contact the antivirus software’s official website for more information.

By following any of these tips, you should be able to successfully install the Outlook Assistant tool, thus allowing you a smoother migration process with Office 365.
