Samsung is refreshing its Book family of laptops for 2024 with new features and a healthy spec bump to go against the likes of Microsoft and Apple in the light-and-portable space. We’ve already been the first to share full specs for the new Galaxy Book 4, Galaxy Book 4 360, Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro, Galaxy Book 4 Pro, and Galaxy Book 4 Ultra.
Thanks to our trusted source, we’ve also got the first images with the new laptops. Let’s go through the highlights: the entire lineup will come with Intel processors ranging from a Core 5 in the Galaxy Book 4 to a Core 9 CPU in the Book Ultra. Except for the base model, all the others will have an AMOLED display and Bluetooth v5.3.
All the laptops share the same I/O with one USB 3.2, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one HDMI, a MicroSD card reader, and a headphone/mic combo.
In the graphics department, the Book 4 and Book 4 360 will come with Intel Graphics, Book 4 PRO and Book 4 360 PRO with Intel Arc Graphics, and finally, the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra with an NVIDIA GeForce 4070. All models come with Windows 11 from the box.
The design resembles the Book 3 lineup, with a few small incremental changes. We don’t have any new info on the materials, but judging the weight difference from last year’s devices, they’re most likely the same.
As expected, the Book 4 360 and 360 PRO maintain the 360-degree hinge and pen support, making them ideal for creative workflows and business meetings on the go. The anti-reflective display coating will also make them easier to use in well-light environments.
While there’s no pricing info, we suspect the base models will come at around the same price as last year’s lineup. The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra’s bigger battery, faster RAM, and dedicated GPU might indicate a price increase, but we’ll find out more about that at the official unveiling just a few months away.
