How To Fix Facebook Add Friend Button Missing

You can perform the procedure on the desktop or mobile app version.

On Desktop

Follow the below steps:

1. Log into your Facebook account and tap the arrow next to your profile picture at the top right of your screen.

2. Click Settings & privacy.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Scroll from the left panel and tap How people can find and contact you.

5. Click Who can send you friend requests? From the right panel.

6. Choose Everyone as the Audience, then tap Save.

The Add Friend button will now be visible to anyone on Facebook.

On Mobile

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Open the Facebook app on your mobile device and tap the profile icon at the bottom right corner of your screen.

2. Click the setting gear on the top right corner.

3. Scroll and tap How people can find and contact you under Audience and Visibility.

4. Ensure you set Who can send you friend requests to Everyone.
