Over the years, I’ve grown quite fond of the Opera browser and, as a matter of fact, it has become my favorite browser on my Windows 8 laptop. But if you’re new to it, some things might seem strange at first…
A friend of mine has just started using the Opera browser on his brand new Windows 8.1 laptop and he asked me the following question – “how do I mark a webpage as favorite and where do I find it after that?”. I then realized that when I used Opera for the first time, I had a similar problem, and albeit I discovered how to do it in a few minutes, it might not seem that easy or straightforward for some, especially if they are used to Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox. Here’s the quick fix for that.
How to save favorites in Opera – the stash feature
First of all, what you need to know is that in Opera, bookmarking webpages isn’t called like that and not favorites, either, but stash. So, here’s the quick way to use it:
1. Open the webpage that you want to bookmark as favorite in Opera
2. Now go to the top right corner and press on the heart icon which says “add to stash”
3. Now open an empty tab et voila, that’s where you will find your bookmarked webpage
