Opera 130 Hits Stable Channel with Chromium 146, Twitch Support, UI Improvements & Fixes

After releasing Opera for Linux users and Opera 129 a few weeks back, the company has now pushed Opera 130 to the stable channel with a new Chromium version and fixes for crashes and interface issues. The update mostly focuses on improving the browsing experience by making tabs, settings, and sidebars behave more reliably for everyday browsing.

Opera 130 stable focuses on UI improvements and bunch of fixes

Based on Chromium 146.0.7680.178, Opera 130 has also fixed lingering issues in tab interactions, hover previews, and UI rendering, which keeps the browser more stable under heavy use. If you use split-screen mode, you’ll notice the download popup now appearing correctly, and tab controls, including the “+” button, respond more predictably.

The latest stable update has also improved Settings and UI. For example, layout issues in Easy Setup have been addressed. Meanwhile, miniplayer text now displays correctly, and cursor visibility in dark mode history search has been improved. Other improvements include tweaks to extension notification popups and smoother rendering across multiple tabs.

Across the browser, minor but meaningful improvements related to apps have also been made. YouTube push notifications are now more reliable, onboarding flows and tab imports behave consistently, and adblock custom lists display correctly. Windows users benefit from fixes to downloads, extensions, and the new tab experience, keeping the workflow uninterrupted.

Moving on, Early Bird users now get access to Threads and Twitch in the sidebar, which offers a more integrated way to stay on top of social and streaming content without leaving the browser. If you wish to check all the changes, head over to the changelog here.

Speaking of new features, Opera Neon recently introduced the MCP Connector lets AI tools work directly inside the browser. Meanwhile, Opera One brings Gemini and Google Translate straight into the sidebar, so you can get answers, translate text, or tap AI insights while browsing.
