Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 will start tonight, with the ever-popular Geoff Keighley getting ready to kick off another big gaming showcase. The show promises trailers, gameplay, world premieres, and surprises, with several major titles already confirmed.
Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live kicks off tonight
The main showcase kicks off on Tuesday, August 25, at 8 PM CEST. That means viewers in India can tune in at 11:30 PM IST. The show starts with a 30-minute pre-show at 7:30 PM CEST. Kyle Bosman will host that segment before Keighley and Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere take over.
For viewers in the United States, the main show starts at 11 AM PT and 2 PM ET. Those in UK can watch the Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live from 7 PM BST.
The showcase is expected to run for roughly two hours. Gamescom itself officially opens from August 26 through August 30 in Cologne.

How to watch Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live?
You can watch the showcase online for free through the official Gamescom channels. The event will also be streamed via Gamescom official website, YouTube and Twitch. The livestream is also available via The Game Awards YouTube channel.
Eight games have already been confirmed for the main show. The lineup includes The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Gears of War: E-Day, Ananta, Tides of Annihilation, Metro 2039, Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, and Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons.
The Witcher 3 expansion could be one of the biggest highlights. CD Projekt Red says viewers will get a glimpse during ONL, before its first public showcase starts at Gamescom on August 26. However, the publisher has confirmed that The Witcher 4 won’t be part of the event, although we now know that the game is targeting 2028 release.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation is also expected to return with some fresh details. Director Naoki Hamaguchi is scheduled to appear for the game’s latest update. Keighley has additionally teased a live Mewgenics musical performance. He described it as something unlike previous shows, adding another unusual element to tonight’s lineup.
