Gears of War: E-Day Release Date Rumors Heat Up Following New Sponsorship Clue

Microsoft will officially reveal Gears of War: E-Day during the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase on June 7. The company has already confirmed a dedicated Direct for the shooter, although release details still remain under wraps.

A new promotional tease may have hinted at Gears of War: E-Day’s release window

Now, a fresh clue may have narrowed things down further. Ahead of the upcoming “WWE Triplemania” event scheduled for September 11 to 13, the VP of content and development at the company, Jeremy Borash, shared a promotional image online featuring Gears of War: E-Day as one of the event sponsors. In fact, the same image was seen in the event’s teaser video shared by official Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide account on X.

Well, the post itself does not directly confirm a launch date. However, the timing has sparked speculation that Microsoft could be planning a release somewhere around September.

If Gears of War: E-Day lands in September, Microsoft may effectively stack three major first-party releases within just a few months. Forza Horizon 6 is coming in a few days, while reports suggest that Halo: Campaign Evolved is eyeing a possible July launch. Fable is still also officially targeting Fall 2026 release as of now.

All that said, the latest Gears of Wars: E-Day release date rumor is purely based on the above tease, and nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Previously, Xbox COO told that the dedicated Direct will run 30-minute after Xbox Showcase, where you can expect gameplay reveal, story details, and possibly the release date.
